The Teal Ribbon Run/Walk is the premier Ovarian Cancer and BRCA Awareness event in Central New York. The 501(c)3 charity Hope for Heather is the event organizer. This event includes: 5K Certified Run (no pets please) and 3K Family, stroller and pet friendly (leash please) Ovarian Cancer and BRCA awareness walk. Families can participate in the Teal Kids dash for children 5 to 10 years old. Parents may accompany small children on the kids dash course for safety. Runners love the 5K certified course as it is designed for a personal best time. The course is almost flat with only a 25ft change in elevation. The last 1/4 mile is downhill. Walkers enjoy the walk through the streets of Minoa where neighbors greet and cheer participants. Minoa is one of CNY's premier places to live. The Teal Kids dash culminates a 4 school competition for most participants and most money raised. Trophies will be awarded to the winning schools.
